A LIFE AT GROUND LEVEL
The earth touches your whole body.A scent arrives before a shape.A whole world waits beneath the leaves.
01 / A DROP OF MORNING
Hold Sense to follow the blue scent.
YOUR POCKET FIELD GUIDE
Your senses carry you from a wet morning into the evening. Pause in three dew drops to drink, taste a leaf, shelter from a bird, touch feelers with Pip, then lead your new friend across the fallen leaf to rest together beneath the mushroom lights. There is no time limit.
Your shell opens into a spiral of stars. The rotten log hides a psychedelic fungal world. Glide through either with your usual controls and awaken three lights. You can wake or leave at any time; your garden progress waits for you.
Follow the green scent to the broad stalk near the starting clearing, beside the rain mushroom. Choose “Climb the stalk” or press F at its roots. Cross its leaf, curl around the tip, and crawl upside down before descending to the soil. Steer as usual, reverse, or return to the roots at any time. Beneath the great mushroom, wait for enormous rain. Venture to the edge and listen to the difference with Sound on.
Follow a scent to a special place, then use the action button or F to begin. You can leave any moment and return to your day.
Ride a rain leaf to a new shore. Look up beneath a butterfly’s stained-glass wings. Meet Mallow, Bramble and Lumi at the midnight ball. Come close and touch feelers with each using F or the action button, then lead your friends on a winding dance. Your footsteps awaken moonflowers and a firefly constellation. Turn Sound on to hear each snail join the waltz.
Take an optional detour. Sense will guide you there.
The spotted leaf carries a fantasy version of Leucochloridium, a parasite that develops in snail tentacles. Cross the leaf to encounter it. The violet mooncap is entirely imaginary: taste it to enter a 90-second rainbow dream. Retreat into your shell to recover faster, or choose “Return to myself” at any time.
A playful interpretation of snail life, with human-friendly vision and time. Snails sense much of their surroundings through touch and chemical cues.
THE LANTERN GROVE
Dew gathered. Supper found. A brave little crossing. And a new friend to share the evening with.
